Garrity, Graham, Murphy, Garofalo & Flinn has extensive litigation experience in the areas of auto and SIU liability, general transportation, railroad, trucking, commercial land, air and water transportation and casualty insurance.

Our transportation practice includes commercial auto, trucking, rentals, corporate aircraft, cargo legal liability, lessor's intermodal contingent and excess liability and transportation products manufacturing including tires and maintenance.

In addition, our maritime transportation practice includes blue and brown water cargo legal liability, charterers liability, blue and non-blue water hull insurance, maritime employers liability, ship owners intermodal contingent and excess liability, ship repairers liability, stevedores liability and wharfingers liability.

We are involved in FELA matters and have significant experience with maritime litigation including brown and blue water marine.

Our practice in the area of automobile, trucking, railroad, air carrier, water carrier and general aviation transportation includes all related casualty insurance areas. We remain active on the cutting edge of national and international issues involving torts, insurance coverage and legislation affecting carriers, operators, businesses, interstate motor carriers, corporate vehicle fleets, car and truck rental agencies, railroad operations, maritime operations and other entities involved in transportation.

We are familiar with domestic and international insurance and reinsurance issues arising out of underwriting in these areas. Examples of issues include federal pre-emption, conflicts and coverage between car rental agencies and primary automobile insurers, inter-jurisdictional motor vehicle accidents, FELA, maritime claims, and related matters. Our maritime experience includes representation of London market insurers and their insureds relating to admiralty and maritime law, New Jersey and New York maritime operations and facilities, and regulations affecting the shipping industry, admiralty jurisdiction, maritime personal injury and death, collisions and allisions, liens and shipping mortgages, charter parties, the law of tugs and towage, limitation of liability, marine insurance, salvage, oil pollution and the Long Shore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.

We remain active with legal and marine industry groups such as the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Admiralty Committees of the Defense Research Institute, the Transportation Committee of the Defense Research Institute, the ABA's Torts and Insurance Practice Section and the Association of Average Adjusters.
