The Banking and Financial Services Group is headed by Philippa Girling. Girling was previously global co-head of operational risk at Nomura, where she was responsible for the development of the global operational risk strategy and the design and implementation of a program for the identification, assessment, control and mitigation of operational risk, including legal risk. She has over thirteen years experience in the global securities industry, a UK law degree and the NY bar certification and is uniquely suited to build this new practice area for the firm.
